Fine Gold Paisley Stud Earrings
Created in solid 18K gold these beautiful stud earrings are formed in a traditional paisley pattern.
The design paisley originated in India back in the 11th century, near Kashmir. Whilst there's no concrete evidence, it's believed that the pattern was derived from the Zoroastrian symbol of a cypress tree combined with a floral spray, to represent life and fertility. The name 'paisley' is not an international name for the pattern - due to the huge scale of shawl production in Paisley, Scotland, the pattern was given the name 'paisley'.
Materials: the earrings are made of 18K gold.
Details: The earrings have a post and butterfly fixture and the studs measure 10 x 15 mm.
